Yesterday I saw a C6 that was trying to look like a C7 and apparently this is a thing

I’m not sure if the C6 with extra shit glued to its rear window to make it look like a C7 that I saw yesterday was a California Super Coupe, but !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

UPDATE: Ok, let me clarify. It’s not terrible if they do the full C7 look with black in the middle of the r oof and color along the sides to match the body color thingies glued onto the rear window, like the orange & red cars above.

Any combination of all body color roll hoop & roof panel, or all glass roof, the look falls apart. Like the white car above with the body color roll hoop and glass roof, or this with everything all body color:

This looks like straight up ass to me. The car I saw yesterday was similarly all body color like this, but yellow. Bleh.

Wraparound rear glass for C7s is probably rather more expensive to produce than a couple silly plastic doohickeys to glue onto C6 wraparound rear windows.

That reminds me, I thought the C7 would look good with a split window. No one seems to make a hatch replacement, e.g. the aerowagon shooting brake . They have ugly tacky stick on plastic things.

This reminds me of the post the other day of a popular car this fairly new but you don’t see anymore, the C6. I had to google pics to actually remember what the rear glass on a C6 looked like.

what person thought they wanted to be able to see less out their windows? While not hideous, this seems like another example of spending money to trick people into thinking your car is cooler than it really is, but the only people who would care know the difference.

While it’s a bit weird to cover the glass with plastic, it doesn’t look super terrible. It is an odd modification though. I have seen a few C6s with C7 headlights upgrades though. Those are kind of cool to me.

I’ve also been seeing more and more of the C7 “ angry eyes ” headlight covers. They actually look pretty good to me too.

That looks ok. Better than the split window tack on, but that is very dumb. Embrace your C6 or buy a C7.
